Day 65
Today was my 65th workout in a row... I am pretty proud of that!
65 days of at least 30 minutes of activity... most of those days there was at least an hour of activity...
Today's workout consisted of 45 minutes on the elliptical machine... I chose a program I have never done. (The elliptical has a few different options, you can just get on and 'run' or you can to hill programs, etc.) I chose an interval program, it was like I was going up and down hills as I was on the machine. I was able to keep my speed over 4.0 mph throughout the workout, at times going 5.6 mph... I was pretty happy with this. Then after the elliptical, I walked for 20 minutes on the treadmill... motivated in part, by the Celtics. They played this afternoon and I found them on the tv and watched the game. (It is more fun watching it on tv now that I have been there in person!)
I was chatting today, with one of my cousins... well... cousin-in-law... and she told me that she could see, from the pictures I had posted, that I have lost weight. That was nice. Last week I had several people tell me that they see differences in me... so I feel good.... despite the fact that the scale did not change this week. I am okay with that. My goal for the week was to go to the gym before work... and not to worry too much about the duration/intensity of the workouts... and I did so successfully (I did not go early on Thursday as I had a snow day and the roads were bad... I wanted to wait until the roads were a bit safer and only wanted to leave my house once... and since i had an appt. later in the day, decided the gym would wait) ... so my focus was on changing my routine, not on weight loss... so... mission accomplished. This week's goal is to get there early and maintain my duration/intensity of my workouts... I think it will be a good week.
Here's to the next 35 days!!!
