I exhaled...
Yesterday was the best day I have had in some time. I went kayaking with three of my friends, followed by some grilling and good conversations. It was the first day in a while that I let myself really relax and not worry about a million other things. I have so much going on right now...finishing up a long school year including a ton of paperwork and working on coursework for two classes. And, while the whole blood clot thing seems under control and my back is recovering from having gotten pulled from food poisoning, it has still contributed to my stress. Oh yeah, and there's the ongoing physical therapy for my knee/IT band. It has been a bit comsuming and overwhelming. So, to be on the water yesterday, with friends, was wonderful. I really was able to just be in the moment, enjoying the sun and wind on my face, laughing with my friends, and alloweing myself to just go with the flow. I needed it... so badly.
The next few weeks are going to be tough, lots to do, lots and lots... and yesterday helped recharge my battery. I need to make sure that I find time, somehow, somewhere, to recharge...
